You read that right, a 24-Hour workout.
LEWISTON, ID – Rove Fitness, a gym based in Lewiston Idaho, has a team set to compete in a 24-Hour workout for a good cause. According to the gym owner, Jason Frawley, the gym is attempting to raise money to support the YWCA of Lewiston, and the Northwest Children’s Home. Yes, you read that right, a 24-Hour workout.
Frawley said that the Rove Fitness #NoonCrew will be taking part in the competition, and will be working out from 3 A.M. – 3 A.M. on June 5 & 6. The Rove Fitness team won’t be doing this alone, however, as this is a worldwide CrossFit event, according to the event’s official website.
The site’s introduction reads, “The 24AMRAP Challenge is a unique, global, online CrossFit team tournament that runs twice a year. The 2021 Summer Edition is the 8th edition of our event. The summer just got way hotter!”
According to the event rules, there will be 3 new movements teams must complete every hour, and teams must complete 500 reps per team, per hour to stay in the race. To be crowned world champion, your team must complete the most reps within the 24-Hour window. To track this, the site states that teams must be able to show at least 15-minutes of video during their team work out, every hour.
The overarching theme of this workout for Rove Fitness is “Turning our pain into purpose”, and according to Frawley, one of Rove Fitness’ purposes for the LC-Valley, is getting the valley healthier and stronger.
“Rove is very focused on community involvement”, Frawley said. We are trying to get the valley healthy and stronger while also partaking in community events. We are also going to be helping on the Day of Caring, we have been scheduled to work at the Lewis-Clark Early Childhood facility redoing all their playground wood chips.” Rove Fitness is scheduled to do that project on May 14th from 8:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.
If you’d like to donate for this event, you can donate at a P1FCU Branch (Rove Fitness LLC Fundraising Account) or virtually at https://gf.me/u/zq4qbh.
If you’re interested in Rove Fitness, you can reach out on the gym’s Facebook page, the gym email [email protected], or the gym website. “All of our workouts are coached and the programming is designed by our very own Dr. Kyle Palmer of Performance Health and Wellness,” Frawley said.
